System Administrator - Full Time

Your job
You will be responsible for implementing the ongoing development of the company's encoding systems and servers. You will also be responsible for performing day-to-day maintenance on multiple systems, setting company standards for encoding, datacenter infrastructure and setting up streaming accounts on servers. Additional responsibilities will include document webbest practices and write maintainable HTML/PHP/MYSQL code with lots of comment tags, assist in development of new server infrastructure and advise staff and outside agencies on how to best optimize their content for online deployment.
Your profile
You are an enthusiastic self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset. You have attained a higher education with preferred emphasis of study in Business, AV or ICT. Minimum of two-three years experience in System Administration in a company with responsibility. Familiarity with ICT, television broadcasting, video production and streaming media is essential.
Required Skills and Abilities
- 2+ years of experience with HTML 3.2/4.0 at the tag level.
- 2+ years of DHTML, COM and server/client-side JavaScript programming experience is also required.
- 2+ years of thorough knowledge of browser compatibility issues for all platforms/major browsers is necessary.
- 2+ years of PHP/MYSQL development experience is also necessary.
- 2+ years of experience with UNIX and LINUX server environments
- Must be an enthusiastic mature team player who takes initiative
